Parking Near Our House Once you've found us, you need to park. That can be tough; the Lower Haight is a destination neighborhood, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings, due to all the bars in the area. In general, if you can arrive before 6:30pm, things aren't too bad. After that, and especially on the "play" nights, you may want to consider taking a cab or public transportation. If you just can't do that, here's a map of the surrounding blocks, with the best places to look for parking shaded a bit: These are not just more likely places to look, but slightly safer places to leave your car after dark. Another parking strategy is to double-park at the beginning of our block, and wait for a car to leave. There's a lot of turnover on Haight Street, and you can almost always grab a spot in 10 minutes, if you're patient.
